Stress in School. What can help?

Child and youth psychotherapists report an increasing number of young people with an unstable emotional balance.

This can be seen not only in continuously rising numbers of adolescents displaying signs of depression, aggressive and addictive behaviour, but also in behavioral problems such as ADHS, hyperactivity and learning blockages as well as concentration difficulties. Research reveals that dyslexia and dyscalculia are on the increase, together with more and more resistance on the part of children and adolescents against performance pressure. Symptomatic of the latter are denial, fear of school, frustration, exhaustion and other physical signs, sometimes culminating in complete refusal to attend school.
All these indications add up to a very clear requirement, and one which is becoming more pressing rather than less, for major sociological change especially in the field of pedagogy and education.
And there is, RIGHT NOW, an urgent need for first aid and support for individuals and their families.logo neu
