I have also condensed the knowledge and experience gained on the trip into a richly illustrated lecture with which I wish to inform and inspire people in many different ways. 

 

During the 8 months in which I visited schools all over the world (mainly Sudbury schools) I was able to experience the schools for several weeks each. I got to know their huge diversity and their individual characteristics and atmospheres, I was confronted with all sorts of new ideas and challenges, and saw how time and again new solutions are sought and found.

 

Out of all these aspects I have composed an illustrated lecture which transports the message of a learning environment based on confidence and trust and which helps audiences to get a taste of the Sudbury experience.

 

The lecture is conceived for all those interested in education: parents, pupils, teachers, educational reformers, members of institutes, associations, schools, colleges and universities. It encourages people to have confidence in young people, to allow them their elementary right to self-determination and it opens up new and exciting ways to explore.
